Background
Up until that point, Xend Finance had reduced user engagement on emails. Most of the emails that had been sent were no-reply emails. This was how the email dashboard had been structured. We needed to get more engagement from our users, like we did for other online platforms.
Objectives
Get real customer feedback about products and services via email interaction.
Create meaningful conversations with our subscribers via emails.
Increase customer engagement with our emails.
My Process
Once I discovered what the problem was, I requested that the email dashboard be restructured to allow responses from our users. Then I went into action. I created a related weekly roundup newsletter that was different from other emails we send out.
Not only was this way more conversational, it included real stories, industry trends, and other fun elements that made it more interesting to read.
With new access to responses, users were able to send in their feedback, join the conversation, and have a few laughs about the newsletter.

The Result
This newsletter series led to increased engagement and customer feedback that was used to improve the company’s process and quality of service.
From an email structure that brought in almost zero emails except for the official and campaign emails, we have up to 50 emails coming in weekly.
